THE BLACKSMITH'S HOOK HALF-DAY GROUP FORGE EXPERIENCE

£90.00

Our new ‘Blacksmith’s Traditional Hook Experience’ is the perfect hands-on introduction to blacksmithing, hosted in our traditional Peak District forge. Running exclusively on Thursdays, this four-hour workshop takes place from 9.30am to 1.30pm and offers a proper taste of life at the anvil. This coat hook is carefully developed to incorporate a range of traditional blacksmithing techniques. Under expert guidance, you’ll forge hot iron by hand—drawing out, shaping, bending, scrolling and finishing your piece at a high standard—before taking home a beautifully functional hook made entirely by you. The session is relaxed, practical, and immersive, with hearty savory snacks sourced from local butchers and bakers to keep you well fuelled as the fire roars. Ideal for beginners, curious creatives, or anyone looking for a memorable half-day forge experience.

Pricing is per person and includes participation in a small, intimate group of up to six, supported by two experienced tutors.

What's included in the price?

Hearty savory snacks and drinks are included, along with PPE, materials, and fuel — just bring yourself and your enthusiasm!
