Tim was a very informative instructor and demonstrated all the stages clearly and logically from fire lighting and management to all the blacksmithing techniques needed to make our fabulous pokers. Jess was very supportive and offered sound additional blacksmithing advise along the way and was a very hospitable host. We were supplied with tea, coffee, pork pie, lunch and cakes. Perfect. "It was a great day. Exceeded my expectations, Tim was a brilliant tutor, very patient and explained and demonstrated everything fully so that you felt confident to try for yourself. Full experience of building a fire, fire and heat control, recognising when the work was ready and some of the techniques were well explained. The people were very friendly and the food and drink excellent. I would recemmend this day to everyone."

"My son had 2 days at the anvil with Jessica. He throughly enjoyed both days. Jessica explained everything to him really well. Showed my son different techniques to twist, bent and move the iron. My son made a beautiful candle holder, knife, BBQ fork and Neil (a snail). My son can't wait to be back. ( He also loved the lunches provided). Thank you for an amazing experience :-)"

My wife and I attended an 'experience' day with Tim & Jess for her 60th birthday present. They were great hosts and the group of 6 had a fantastic experience. We learnt loads, it was fun to boot and also, with the roaring furnaces quite exciting. Thouroughly recommend to anyone. We even took home two not bad looking, self-made, pokers :)

I was looking for christmas experience gift vouchers for my dad, hubby and son. However before I bought the gift vouchers I wanted to talk to the company before I purchased. Peak blacksmithing was the only company that answered, no other company got back to me. The lady I spoke to was super helpful and answered all of my questions.
It was super easy to book in for the experience and the information sent to us was very informative. The experience its self was amazing, the family members absolutely loved it!! So much so they want to go back. Teaching method was great, they learnt a lot.
It was a nice small group, so you had plenty of time with the instructor. And to top it all off the food was beautiful.

This is a brilliant day for anyone interested in learning some beginner blacksmithing skills. Tim and Jess are really lovely and have put together an excellent experience. It's safe without being fussy and any ability/nerves level is supported! It's great to have some understanding and appreciation of all the different techniques involved in making everyday objects like pokers.

What an absolutely fantastic day! You were both so knowledgeable - and you're both really excellent teachers, patient and thorough. I've been blacksmithing casually for about a year, and I feel that I've learned more in one day than I have done in months of teaching myself. The facilities were excellent, well-stocked with a forge for every participant, all the tools and equipment you could want. Lunch was also delicious! 10/10, would recommend to any one - either a total beginner or someone more advanced looking to perfect skills.
